Being House took a nose dive in food, service and atmosphere. Last visit they had fresh and handmade dumplings and wontons. Today they served frozen store bought Gyoza (from MD oriental, I buy the same ones) slopped on the plate like prison food. The wontons were not wontons and were not fresh. Served in a spicy chili oil soup with not flavor. The restaurant has their stuff everywhere in the dining room. It was so cluttered and a mess. Service? Our server spent more time making a TikTok than she did with her guests. Sad to see this place reach this kinda low.

Walked in for dinner on a Sunday night. It was a great meal near USF campus. The food was good — I got orange chicken, beef and broccoli, lo mein, crab rangoon, scallion pancake beef burrito, and thai tea. This is a family style restaurant so there was a lot of food. Note the price for that as well. They had made an extra set of the scallion pancake beef burrito and the server offered it to us. Which was very kind. The server was also quick to get us everything we needed. The restaurant was busy but we didn’t have to wait.

I really wish I was able to give 4.5 out of 5 because this is what this place deserves. 5 out of 5 in food for me really has to hit all the buttons.. quality, flavor, and price. You really only get 2 of 3 in most places at best. This place was really close to the 3 of 3. 100% would go again. Amazing people and service.

I placed a to-go order on Thursday about 9:00 pm. There were several customers dining in and 2 waiting for to-go orders. I was greeted within a few minutes and given ample time to order. The service was friendly. We waited about 15 minutes which I thought was reasonable considering the amount of customers. I ordered yakitori chicken, scallion pancakes, pork fried rice and I requested beansprouts which was an additional $2, Mongolian beef and white rice. The yakitori tasted good the texture was too mushy. The pork fried rice was very good and the Mongolian beef was flavorful yet again the texture was mushy I can only guess because of velveting the meat? I was very disappointed with the scallion pancake it was burned, greasy and had no flavor. If I ever return I will be sure to check my to go order at the restaurant. I would order the pork fried rice with additional bean sprouts again.

Beijing House is easily our go-to spot in Tampa for Chinese — specifically Sichuan — food. We’re never disappointed when we go, the food and service is excellent — you can’t go without trying their Spicy Wontons in Chili Oil, Tao’s Beef Burrito, Cumin Lamb or Beef, or their Griddle-Cooked entrees. We love it so much, we hosted our wedding rehearsal dinner here to give our family and friends from out of town a taste of one of our favorite spots!
